The kitchen table is usually a mess, and I needed something to do. Sounds like the perfect combination for a weekend project!
This was a pretty easy and straightforward thing to make. I just cut up a few pieces of 1/4″ plywood and glued it all together. Using my router table I made some slots for the dividers to fit into. The new thing for me was using gray stain. It took a lot of coats, but I like the look of it. When it was done it looked a bit plain, so afterwards I attached some of the decorative little corner brackets which I think gave it a polished look.
Overall a fun little project, and very useful as a centerpiece for the kitchen table.
