There is a little website in our neighborhood where people post random news and events. The other day someone posted that they are trying to get rid of a bunch of wood that they somehow recovered from a restaurant that had been demolished.
It was great looking stuff. All kinds of different types and colors and all the pieces had great texture. Didn’t know what I was going to do with it but it was too good to pass up. I grabbed a bunch of random pieces and threw them in my trunk.
I found an old piece of plywood I had in my spare wood stack. It was straight on two edges and had a curve across the top. Using that as a backboard, I started adding 45-degree cuts to the wood pieces I acquired. Then I started cutting and gluing the wood pieces onto the backboard. Before I knew it I had this strange looking design that I now have no idea what to do with. It’s currently just sitting in the backyard!
