After our home addition project a few years ago, our air conditioning unit was just left sitting exposed in the back of the house. Being so close to the pond and playing area it was kind of an eyesore, so I built this little privacy wall to hide it.

The first step was to dig three holes for the poles. I put gravel in the bottom of each hole to help with drainage and to make leveling easier.  In each hole I placed a pre-case concrete footing and leveled them off.

I attached the posts to the footings, and then it was just a matter of cutting the boards to size and screwing them to the posts. For a finished touch I added some weatherproof stain, and it was done! Overall a fairly fun and easy project.
